COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

As we move forward in this Thanksgiving season let us be mindful of our need for an attitude of gratitude!  We are often remiss in thanking God for his many blessings in our lives.  It is easy to become complacent with the everyday little blessings:  blessings of waking up every morning, the ability to hear, to see, to taste, to touch, or the ability to smell the sweet flowers of life.  Sometimes we take for granted the fact that Jesus paid the price for our eternal life.

During this season let us reflect on the many blessings of God; let us reflect on our lives as his chosen people.   We are a royal priesthood, a people called to reflect the love, mercy, kindness, gentleness, goodness, meekness, patience, longsuffering, joy, peace and victorious life that comes with accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

Reflecting on the love, grace and mercy of God towards us, let us remind ourselves that we are his ambassadors; bearing his spirit, always showing love and forgiveness towards all mankind.  ALWAYS COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS!!!

“When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed;

When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost;

Count your many blessings name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Count your blessings name them one by one,

Count your blessings see what God has done,

Count your many blessings… name them one by one…

and it will surprise you what the Lord has done”.
